SWEATER

This sweater was a challenge for me. Eliz. Zimmerman, She was an absolute talent. My wife had to interpret the pattern for me. As a novice knitter and pattern reader, there were things I needed to learn. I plowed
through and it was finnished just in time for last years fiber fest
skein and garment. The sweater is very warm. The wool is corriedale/
cotswald cross bread with a little luster. The accent gray is lincoln.
purchased from good friends. The fiber was really fun to spin.
I have been doing some spinning with the wheels and the drop spindles.
learning more about lace spinning on the drop spindles. Its a great
portable fun way to spend time spinning.

A New Find

The best find in My life since the Great wheel. This is one of the most beautiful wheels I have
seen. I just couldn't pass this by..... I was at our fiber fest( finger lakes fiber fest) and this wheel
barely got out of the van. I bought it with out spinning on it. This little wheel just caught my eyes. It is 1/4 sawn oak. The signature imprint is John Mitchel. I am not sure to the age of the
wheel. I took it home and it was a trip into time getting to know each other. You can feel the
groove worn into the treddle with your foot. I took it to my flax class and had a great time.

We really had fun getting to know each other. The Fiber fest was the best. Spent time with old friends and new ones. My wife and I
had a blast.....
I haven't posted in some time. I finished the Tom tem
sweater last season and got to wear it to Rienbeck ny fiber
fest. The sweater was made of the gray wool that you see in
previous post. A great pattern of Eliz. Zimmerman.
